South Tyrolean mountain guides successful at the International Climbing Championship
IFMGA- Climbing Championship at Bad Tölz, Germany, 20/21.10.2006
The South Tyrolean mountain guides could fulfil their aim to defend several titles at Bad Tölz, Germany. Christoph Hainz continued his run of successes and finished third after Christian Schlesener (Germany) and Leonardo Di Marino (Italy). In his category Christoph Hainz became second. Peter Mair became fourth, Helmut Rauchegger seventh and Hubert Steier eighth in their category. Mario Senoner started in the category “70 plus” and came off second-best. All together around 50 mountain guides from 7 different nations took part at the Championship. The International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA) hosts these championships every year. This year they were organised by the German Mountain Guide Association.
