The South Tyrolean mountain guide

South Tyrolean mountain guides are not only sympathetic, athletic, fascinating and excellent company, they are also absolutely reliable, responsible, and they take their business very seriously. All South Tyrolean mountain guides have completed the challenging two years training with international standards and hold the highest internationally recognised qualification for instruction and guiding in all disciplines of mountaineering. The main parts of the training are leadership, judgement, rescue skill, technical expertise, client care and environmental consciousness.

One hundred and seventy mountain guides are unified in the Association of South Tyrolean Mountain Guides which is a member of the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA).

Whether you would like to go on a tour in summer or winter, the mountain guides are experts in all questions of mountaineering and alpinism, not only in rock- and ice climbing, ski touring or on glaciers. Above all they are experts in safety and fun in the mountains.
